Doriane Pin was dominant in Jeddah in 2024 leading every session bar race two of the weekend in which she crossed the line first but received a post race penalty for taking the chequered flag twice. Cruelly denied a clean sweep of the weekend last year, Pin will be looking to stamp her authority over her competitors again and extend her championship lead over rival Maya Weug.
So far, she hasn’t quite been able to reproduce the electric pace she displayed last year. Maya Weug lead free practice with a two tenth advantage over Pin in third, and Chloe Chambers took pole position by the same margin over Pin who clinched second.
The race of course is what counts, and with with two (including the newly added reverse grid race) to go, there is still plenty of opportunity for Pin to have a stellar weekend at what appears to be a strong track for her.
